Washinghton to Ohio, Amish Country

Leaving Washington DC behind, on our journey to Ohio’s Amish Country.  The horse and buggy remains the most iconic symbol of Amish life. It’s “life in the slow lane”—literally. These buggies are slow-moving, and the roads are narrow, so drive carefully and stay alert. The Amish do not reject medical care, but many families choose not to vaccinate. Driving through rolling farmland, historic villages, and family-run farms. It’s peaceful and picturesque, unless you’re in a rush—in which case, you may find it a bit… frustrating. Let’s just say Americans aren’t always fans of slow scenic drives.
