4 Years Africa Overland, in 8 minutes. Draft version — not final Robert Van Den Hoven, December 6, 2025December 6, 2025 4 Years Overlanding in Africa (4 years in 8 minutes). We left the comfort zone, followed rough tracks instead of roads, and discovered a continent that changed us forever. They say once you visit Africa, it gets into your blood — and it’s true. We shared life with the Kalahari Bushmen, stood face to face with chimpanzees and gorillas in Rwanda, Meeting Jane Goodall and the chimpanzees and gorillas in Rwanda and Zambia, lived with Pygmy communities in Uganda and Rwanda, joined a Voodoo ceremony in Benin, explored the Dogon region in Mali, the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, and stood before the little known pyramids of Sudan. Wildlife at our bush camps, remote beaches, ancient cultures, endless landscapes — and everywhere, warmth and humanity. Africa stayed with us. And it keeps calling us back. We also remember times confronted by the tragic realities of poverty and war, and the Rwanda Genocide—an unspeakable tragedy in which one million people were murdered in 100 days while the world failed to act. https://www.doubledutchworldsafari.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/Untitled-video-africa-1.mp4 Latest Update
