Oceania includes more than 10,000 islands. The largest and most populous country in the region is Australia followed by New Zealand. The pacific islands are part of Polynesia and include Fiji, Kiribati Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Cook Islands Tuvalu and American Samoa.
